Man ID'd after fatal shooting at Hilton Hotel in Oakbrook Terrace; person in custody OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill. — Police are investigating a deadly shooting at the Hilton Hotel in Oakbrook Terrace Saturday night.Police from multiple west suburbs were called to the hotel near 10 Drury Lane at around 8:30 p.m. on a report of shots fired. Brighton Park migrant camp nearing completion, despite opposition When officers arrived on the scene, they found a person who had been shot multiple times, police said. Officers say the victim later succumbed to their injuries.The medical examiner has identified the victim as 34-year-old Calvin Truitt.Police say a person of interest was taken into custody and authorities have not yet identified anyone involved.Hotel guests were outside for hours before they were cleared to return to their rooms.Currently, it is unclear what led to the shooting and an investigation is underway.

Police: DFS worker kidnapped at knifepoint by St. Louis County woman FLORISSANT, Mo. -- A St. Louis County woman is accused of holding a Department of Family Services employee at knifepoint during a visit to her home last week. Bianca Price, 42, is facing kidnapping, assault, and weapons charges. She is being held on a $75,000, cash-only bond with instructions to have no contact with the victim or the child.Two DFS employees were at Price's home in the 6700 block of Champana Lane for an investigation on the morning of November 30th. Price allowed the investigators to come inside. They decided to leave after she was hostile to them. Woman killed in crash south of Columbia, Missouri Sunday BOONE COUNTY, Mo. -- The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that happened Sunday south of Columbia. Debra Bates, 62, of Russellville, Missouri, is identified as the woman killed in the collision. Her family has been notified about the death. Suspect shot and killed after firing shots outside O’Fallon City Hall A crash report states that Bates was driving in a Jeep Compass with another woman in the passenger seat westbound on Route H at Innovation Boulevard at around 6:30 p.m. A woman driving a Ford Transit eastbound crossed the center lane and hit the driver's side of her Jeep.At around 7:05 p.m., paramedics declared Bates dead. The other two women were taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for their injuries, which range from serious to moderate.
